Os vereadores aprovaram em segunda discussão e votação e redação final as contas do município relativas aos anos de 2005, quando Geraldo Nascimento era prefeito e 2012 na gestão de Sérgio Mendes. As contas de 2005 foram rejeitadas pelo Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Minas Gerais por conta do não cumprimento do percentual de 15% que deveria ter sido aplicado na Saúde. Pelo parecer, no total foram 13,2%. No entanto, os vereadores acataram a tese de defesa de Geraldo Nascimento que alegou os princípios da insignificância e da razoabilidade do percentual que faltou. A rejeição do parecer do Tribunal obteve 12 votos dos vereadores contra um apenas (Douglas Willkys). Já as contas de 2012 foram aprovadas pelo Tribunal de Contas e pelo Legislativo por unanimidade.
